Sporting success for CLC
The U18 Hockey Team has made it through to the National Hockey Finals following a string of recent victories. The finals' place was secured by a win on penalty strokes against Stockport Grammar School.
The U16 Football team will represent the District in the County Football Finals in March after winning the Cheltenham and District Tournament for the second year running. The team recorded draws in their first three games against Winchcombe, Tewkesbury and Pittville. In the final game, All Saints Academy took the lead but CLC equalised soon. A further goal from Maddy Rudge secured the game and the title.
Emma Meecham-Jones and Charlotte Dunn have both been awarded places at the National Cross Country Championships after coming 4th and 7th in their respective races at the South West regional qualifiers.
The First Tennis Team have qualified for the AEGON Team Tennis Schools Senior Students Finals in March after their recent win against Stoodley Knowle (10-2). Olivia Horn has also been selected for the U18 Gloucestershire Tennis Team who will be competing in the Aegon County Cup at the Welsh National Tennis Centre in March.
