Sport at College featured on BBC Radio 4
Cheltenham Ladies' College featured today in the 30-part 'Sport and the British' series on Radio 4 presented by Clare Balding.
The episode, entitled 'Playing Like Ladies', discusses the early history of sport in girls’ schools during the Victorian era. It focuses on College's former Principal Dorothea Beale (Principal from 1958 to 1906), as well as other pioneers of women's education, such as Miss Buss, Principal of North London Collegiate School and Miss Dove, Principal of St Leonards.
The episode is available for seven days on BBC iPlayer (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01blfjy) and will be repeated on Friday 10 February at 9pm in the weekly omnibus edition.
